Taiwan’s Cathay Life Insurance commits $134m to two PE funds

Cathay Life Insurance, the insurance subsidiary of Taiwanese conglomerate Cathay Financial Holdings, has agreed to commit a total of $134 million to two private equity funds, according to stock exchange filings.

The Taiwanese insurer has committed $90 million to Thoma Bravo Fund XV-A, the latest vehicle managed by American PE and growth capital firm Thoma Bravo, and another €40 million ($44 million) to PAI Partners VIII, a fund managed by French PE firm PAI Partners.
