Cedarlake Acquisition Corp, a blank-cheque firm created by former Morgan Stanley executive Yi Bao-led Cedarlake Capital, has filed with the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) on Monday to raise up to $200 million in the US.

The blank-cheque firm, as the latest in China to join a global craze in fundraising by SPACs, intends to focus on targets in China’s fast-growing consumer, technology, and mobility sectors, according to its prospectus.
