Japan's Chikyoren picks UBS, Sumitomo Mitsui for alternatives mandate

Japan’s $196-billion (24 trillion Japanese yen) Pension Fund Association for Local Government Officials, or Chikyoren, has picked Sumitomo Mitsui Asset Management Co. and UBS Asset Management Co. to manage its overseas alternatives investment mandates, according to an announcement.
