ChatGame offers facial beautification features and avatars and has also introduced a new group video chat.
ChatGame’s newest feature allows up to six users to hold a video call at the same time, with the capacity for additional people to spectate and message the group. Now friends and family can hang out together wherever they are. In addition, ChatGame allows up to 500 people join and participate in a group chat.
ChatGame claims to offer low data consumption using 60% less data than <a style="color: #000080;" href="http://dealstreetasia.com/tag/skype">Skype.</a>
“We wanted to build an app that would transform how people experience video calls,” said ChatGame CEO, Will Shaw. “ChatGame is a fun and engaging way for friends and family to connect with each other, which encourages them to utilize video chats without giving a second thought to their surroundings.“
ChatGame was founded by five engineers in 2014 with the aim of providing a more fun and interactive way for families and friends to stay in touch. The company is based in Nanjing, with offices in Beijing and Silicon Valley.
In March it was reported that <a style="color: #000080;" href="http://dealstreetasia.com/tag/snapchat">Snapchat</a>, which makes a free app for sending messages and videos that disappear in seconds, raised $175 million financing from <a style="color: #000080;" href="http://dealstreetasia.com/tag/fidelity">Fidelity Investments</a>, at a valuation of $16 billion valuation.
