China’s Lyfe Capital has led a $44-million round in Shanghai-based Aohua Endoscopy Co Ltd while Decheng Capital has participated in the round of US-based VelosBio Inc.
<h3 style="text-align: justify;">Lyfe Capital leads $44m in Aohua Endoscopy</h3>
China’s <a href="https://www.dealstreetasia.com/?s=Lyfe+Capital" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Lyfe Capital</a> has led a RMB300 million ($44 million) Series D round in Shanghai-based <a href="https://www.dealstreetasia.com/?s=Aohua+Endoscopy+Co+Ltd" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Aohua Endoscopy Co Ltd</a> that produces endoscopes, the China Money Network reported.
Existing investors, Legend Capital and Qiming Venture Partners, also participated in the round. It raised its Series C round of RMB200 million in 2012 from Legend Capital, Qiming Venture Partners and Cenova Ventures.
Last year, Lyfe Capital closed its LYFE Capital Fund II at $288.8 million.
<h3 style="text-align: justify;">Decheng Capital joins VelosBio Inc round</h3>
Existing backer Decheng Capital, a lifescience-focused Chinese investment firm, joined the $58-million Series A round of US-based oncology-targeted biopharma firm VelosBio Inc.
<a href="https://www.dealstreetasia.com/?s=Arix+Bioscience+plc" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Arix Bioscience plc</a>, a global healthcare and life science company, led the round. Other investors include Pappas Ventures, Chiesi Ventures and Takeda Ventures.
VelosBio Inc will use the investment to advance the company&#8217;s lead programmes into clinical studies.
