Hong Kong-based <a style="color: #000080;" href="https://www.dealstreetasia.com/stories/china-everbright-healthcare-fund-109585/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">China Everbright Ltd</a> has announced the final close of its North America and Europe-focused investment vehicle, CEL Global Investment Fund, at $539 million.
The fund has already invested over $350 million into various portfolio firms with a focus on high value-added sectors such as industrial communications and advanced manufacturing, an announcement from the financial services firm said on Monday.
The backers of the fund include corporate investors, family offices, and fund of funds.
The vehicle, that was launched in the second quarter of 2016, primarily invests in equities of the companies located in North America, Europe, and Asia with a track record and a sound business model and with strong growth in China, it added.
With the additional capital left to deploy, the fund is currently scouting for opportunities in these markets for minority or majority with control investments.
The Fund’s current investment portfolio includes intelligent machinery equipment supplier Burke Porter Group Ltd, precision surfacing firm Lapmaster Group Holdings,  from the US and a company engaged in the design and manufacture of micron accuracy precision abrasive finishing machinery and Hong Kong-based Cloud Light Technology Ltd.
&#8220;The operations of the fund’s portfolio companies have achieved tremendous growth and organic expansions since the Fund’s investment, with significant development in their global operations,&#8221; China Everbright added.
