Beijing-based intelligent companion robot developer Evolver Robotics has secured RMB500 million ($70.50 million) in a strategic investment from the local government in eastern China’s port city of Qingdao even as the startup is exploring a listing on the country’s newly-launched STAR Market over the next one or two years.

Evolver Robotics uses artificial intelligence (AI) to develop education robots for children at the kindergarten and elementary school levels in China.
