Beijing-based venture capital firm China Renaissance K2 Ventures (<a href="https://www.dealstreetasia.com/tag/K2VC/">K2VC</a>) has raised a total of $67.5 million for two funds, according to SEC filings.
One of the filings, dated Nov 12, shows the firm reaching an initial close of $27.5 million from five investor commitments, which will go towards a targeted $250-million fund called K2 Partners IV.
According to a second filing, the firm also raised $40 million for a $300-million fund named K2 Venture Partners. That fund has attracted six commitments so far, the filing shows.
Founded in 2010, K2VC is an early-stage venture capital firm focused on technology, business model innovations and changing consumer lifestyles.
According to information on its site, the firm currently manages multiple funds with over RMB 3 billion in management and has invested in nearly 400 companies across Internet &amp; Mobile, Fintech, Consumer, Healthcare and more.
The firm’s latest investment was a follow-on funding in the $60-million Series A round for Beijing-headquartered AI startup Aibee, which was led by Sequoia Capital and Red Star Macalline.
Other companies K2VC has backed this year include women’s clothing subscription platform Abox box, logistics company CBD Logistics and social networking app Weface.
