Taiwan-based China Life Insurance commits $70m to two funds

Taiwan-based life insurance firm China Life Insurance Company (Taiwan) has approved capital commitments of $40 million to KKR Asian Fund IV and another $30 million to Crown Global Secondaries V Master, according to two recent regulatory filings with the Taiwan Stock Exchange.

The Taiwanese insurer will own a 0.32 per cent stake in KKR Asian Fund IV post the transaction, shows one filing, which translates into a total fund size of $12.5 billion, confirming previous market speculation that KKR is targeting a record size for its fourth buyout fund.
