China Resources to buy majority in HK supermarket chain City Super

State-owned conglomerate China Resources Group-led consortium has agreed to purchase a 65 per cent stake in supermarket chain operator City Super Group, AVCJ reported, citing people familiar with the matter.

Founded in 1996, City Super Group operates 20 supermarket stores in Hong Kong, seven each in Taiwan and Shanghai.
