China Digest: Sansure Biotech, Mogoroom, Laviana Pharmatech, Shanghai Edutech, TOGO raise funding

A range of startups in China have received funding from various venture capital and private equity firms, according to a China Money Network report.

Sansure Biotech bags $77m

Hunan Province-based biotechnology firm Sansure Biotech has raised $77 million from a group of investors led by Lilly Asia Ventures and HighLight Capital in a strategic financing round.

The company, which focuses on molecular diagnosis and genetic testing techniques, also saw Junhe Capital participate in its latest funding round.

Mogoroom gets $30m in Series C+

Ant Financial, Yunfeng Capital, and Giant Network Group participated in a $30 million Series C+ round in Mogoroom, a Shanghai-based apartment rental online-to-offline platform that focuses on young professionals.

Huayi Capital leads $15m Series B in Laviana Pharmatech

A number of investors, led by Huayi Capital, participated in a $15-million Series B round in Laviana Pharmatech, a provider of contract research and development services, such as route scouting, process development and process optimization from preclinical to clinical stages.

Other participants in the latest funding round include Lyfe Capital, ABC Capital, and Crystal Pharmatech.

Shanghai Edutech raises $15m in Series B

Chinese education IT firm Shanghai Edutech has raised $15 million in a Series B round led by Haitong Culture Industrial Fund.

The latest funding round in the company, which focuses on developing smart school system and cloud computing platform, was joined by TAL Education Group and Orient Securities.

Crescent leads $26m series B+ in TOGO

China-focused venture firm Crescent HydePark has led a $26m Series B+ round in TOGO, a Beijing-based car rental firm. Other participants in the round include SIG and Zhen Fund.

TOGO allows customers to locate, rent, and return vehicles through a mobile app.
