<a href="https://www.dealstreetasia.com/?s=CLSA+Capital+Partners">CLSA Capital Partners</a> is investing an undisclosed amount in FortyTwo, a Singaporean home furnishing e-commerce website, it announced on Monday.
The investment will be made out of its ARIA V fund, a pan-Asia private equity fund that focuses on retail, food and beverage, lifestyle, consumer tech, and healthcare and wellness investments.
FortyTwo marks ARIA V&#8217;s second investment. The fund had earlier invested <a href="https://www.dealstreetasia.com/stories/clsa-capital-partners-co-leads-investment-in-taiwans-act-genomics-107420/">an undisclosed amount in ACT Genomics, a Taiwanese DNA sequencing-based cancer solution provider.</a> ARIA V typically invests $10-50 million per deal.
According to an official statement, FortyTwo claims to be the biggest home furnishing e-commerce website in Singapore and offers more than 20,000 items ranging across furniture, home decor and lifestyle products.
&#8220;We are delighted to be the first investor in FortyTwo. This investment represents an exciting opportunity to partner with a market leader in a fast growing business area, which is well-placed to benefit from Asian consumers’ behaviour paradigm shift towards online home furnishings purchases,&#8221; said ARIA Funds managing director Miranda Tang in a statement.
CLSA Capital Partners currently manages assets worth more than $4 billion from offices across the region, including Hong Kong, Singapore and Tokyo.
