Consolidation to 17 local banks remains a challenge in Vietnam: World Bank

The consolidation process of Vietnamese banks has been accelerated within the first six months of 2015, but the country’s goal to reduce the number of banks to 15-17 by 2017 will be a big challenge, commented the World Bank in its update on the Vietnamese economy.
