CoinNess, crypto market index and news intelligence platform, has raised its Series A round of funding from China’s ShunWei Capital, QF Capital, and FreesFund, according to an announcement.

The round is said to be in the region of “millions of dollars,” per the company release.

CoinNess offers trade information and real-time price index with insight on anything related to crypto/block chain. The platform also helps connect crypto investors to exchanges and asset management institutions.

“We never intend to construct a whole industry chain on our own, but rather we value the role as a connector, a user-centric connector,” said Peter TAN, CEO, CoinNess.

Established in August 2017, CoinNess started off as a Chinese version platform named providing crypto/blockchain news. By March 2018, the company launched a Korean language platform, followed by an English language version three months later.

The company currently claims a user base of over three million from 150 countries, predominantly from South Korea. In 2019, the company intends to tap a broader market, mainly the English-speaking customers.

Prior to raising the latest investment, CoinNess raised an undisclosed investment from Huobi, ZhenFund, Freesfund and ShunWei.
