Sweden-headquartered private equity firm EQT has reached an agreement to acquire 100% of Baring Private Equity Asia (BPEA) for 6.8 billion euros ($7.5 billion), aiming to create “one of the leading players in active ownership in Asia”, EQT said in a statement.
