Warburg Pincus-backed real estate investment platform ESR will invest an estimated JPY27 billion (equivalent to approximately $245 million) to develop ESR Yatomi Kisosaki Distribution Centre, which the firm says will be the largest modern logistics facility in Greater Nagoya, Japan.
As the third most populated metropolitan area in Japan with a population of 11 million, Greater Nagoya contributes to approximately 10% of the country’s GDP. The region boasts one of the highest concentration of manufacturing plants in Japan and accounts for 8.2% of global automobile production.
