Philippine VC firm Future Now Ventures is on an investment spree.

Future Now Ventures has invested in five more technology startups based in the Philippines and Australia, engaged in cloud services and business applications.

The five startups were Barhead, Jesi, Advvy, AllFamous, and Booky. Jesi and Advvy are based in Australia.

Future Now Ventures founder and CEO John Orrock said, the firm’s startup investments in the last six months have reached around $4 million.

The venture capital firm has put in $1 million in Barhead, $500,000 each in Advvy and Jesi while it has injected $250,000 in Booky.

“For Barhead we just committed a million dollars, there will probably be a lot more,” Orrock said, declining to disclose funding details in AllFamous.

Barhead is a dominant Microsoft Cloud Deployment Partner; Jesi is a global management software company that operates in over 16 countries; AllFamous is engaged in digital marketing, social media consulting and outsourcing; Phonebooky is the maker of restaurant booking app Booky; and Advvy is a cloud programmatic ad platform being developed for the media industry.

“We’ve been more active in terms of investments, around $3 million to $4 million in the last six months. We’re really focusing on the category of enterprise SaaS (Software-as-a-Service) application and cloud-based consulting services,” Orrock said.

“We’re very bullish on Microsoft CRM online which Barhead will drive into. Our target there is to build up a very strong offshore presence of consultants. Right now we have close to a hundred here, we’re doing it locally but also on our efforts in Australia,” he added.

Orrock noted that Barhead serves as take three of his SaaS space CRM service like in his former company Cloud Sherpas, a global cloud computing advisory and technology services company that was acquired by Accenture last September.

The Australian technopreneur highlighted that Booky currently has good web metrics and mobile app SMS booking, while AllFamous now supports large enterprises in digital marketing consulting.
