East Ventures-backed Fore Coffee lines up 100 stores as Indonesians return to the table

Vico Lomar, co-founder and CEO Fore Coffee

Indonesian tech-enabled coffee startup Fore Coffee has lined up fresh expansion plans after going through a rough patch at the beginning of the pandemic, a top executive said.

Speaking exclusively to DealStreetAsia, Fore Coffee co-founder and CEO Vico Lomar said the company is going to launch 100 stores this year in more locations beyond the capital city of Jakarta. The firm has just opened 40 new stores across the archipelago, amid competition from heavyweights such as local unicorn Kopi Kenangan and global coffee chain Starbucks, which are also eyeing sales beyond the major cities.
