SG venture debt firm Genesis Alternative closes debut fund at $80m

Genesis Alternative Ventures, a Singapore-based venture debt firm, on Thursday, announced that it has closed its debut fund at $80 million, exceeding its target of $50 million.

The fund, Genesis Alternative Ventures Fund I, was anchored by Singapore’s Sassoon family. Other investors include Japan’s Aozora Bank, Korea Development Bank (KDB), Hong Kong’s Silverhorn Group, Indonesia’s PT Bank CIMB Niaga, and US impact fund Capria Fund.
