Philippine telco giant <a style="color: #000080" href="http://globe.com.ph">Globe Telecom Inc</a> disclosed on Tuesday about the creation of a wholly-owned holding company.
Globe informed the stock exchange that the holding company is meant to conduct and consolidate new and strategic businesses. &#8220;The creation of this holding company aims to provide more focus on developing and growing said businesses,&#8221; Globe said in a statement.

The listed mobile firm recently partnered with <a style="color: #000080" href="https://www.rocket-internet.com">Rocket Internet&#8217;s</a> online retailer and marketplace <a style="color: #000080" href="http://lazada.com">Lazada</a> to support the latter&#8217;s e-commerce business in South East Asia (SEA).
At present, Globe has two joint venture firms Bridge Mobile (10 per cent ownership), and <a style="color: #000080" href="http://www.banko.com.ph">BPI Globe BanKO Inc</a> (40 per cent ownership), as well as one associate, the <a style="color: #000080" href="www.bayan.com.ph">Bayan Telecommunications Inc</a> (38 per cent ownership).

It also has six subsidiaries, in which it owns 100 per cent, namely <a style="color: #000080" href="http://kickstart.ph">Kickstart Ventures Inc</a>, <a style="color: #000080" href="http://www.yondu.com/whoweare.do">Yondu</a>, Asticom Technology Inc, Innove Communications Inc, <a style="color: #000080" href="http://gtitel.com/index.php?option=com_content&amp;view=article&amp;id=54&amp;Itemid=41">GTI Business Holdings Inc</a>, and G-Xchange Inc.
Globe&#8217;s last trading price went down 0.76 per cent or P20 to close at P2,622.
