<a href="https://www.dealstreetasia.com/?s=AlphaConcepts">AlphaConcepts</a>, a nine-month-old influencer marketing platform based in Hong Kong, has raised $200,000 in seed funding from undisclosed <a href="https://www.dealstreetasia.com/?s=angel%20investors">angel investors</a>, the company said.
AlphaConcepts co-founder and CEO Irish Ong said,four angel investors from the tech and finance industry in Hong Kong participated in the round. The investors, however, preferred to stay unnamed.
&#8220;Use of funding will mainly be for product development and market penetration,&#8221; Ong said in an interaction with DEALSTREETASIA.
AlphaConcepts provides a systematic way of connecting brands to influencers, Ong said.
In a span of nine months, the startup has grown to 1,160 influencers that has a combined outreach of 16.5 million and all together has helped promote over 50 brand partners with more than 1,200 word-of-mouth recommendations.
&#8220;We want to build a strong infrastructure and so we will be working on an upgraded data-driven platform to give value brands and the marketing industry, at the same time, an all-around platform to open more opportunities for influencers in Asia,&#8221; Ong said.
AlphaConcepts is looking at expanding in Southeast Asia, particularly in the Philippines, Ong&#8217;s home country.
Ong started her career in modelling at the age of 14 and has been in the fashion, digital media, and TV industry in Asia-Pacific working with brands since then.
