Hong Kong-based home renovation website <a href="https://www.dealstreetasia.com/?s=HKDecoman" target="_blank" rel="noopener">HKDecoman</a> has raised an eight-digit Hong Kong dollar investment led by property developers and entrepreneurs, according to an announcement.
While the company did not disclose the quantum of funding, e27 reported that HKDecoman had raised $1.4 million in its pre-Series A round that was closed in October.
The latest investment has pushed HKDecoman&#8217;s valuation to HK$50 million ($6.4 million).
Established three years ago, HKDecoman helps homeowners connect with decoration companies and engineers as well as offers consultancy services for home renovation.
The proceeds from the latest financing will be used to strengthen the platform into a one-stop shop for renovation services. Andy Lau, co-founder and COO of HKDecoman, said the new funds will be used to expand market penetration and to accelerate the automation of the renovation platform.
Also on the cards is an expansion into China and Southeast Asia, its announcement said.
HKDecoman was co-founded by Benny Liu, Andy Lau and Simon Tang, whose expertise ranges from digital marketing to renovation work.
To date, the platform claims to have received over 5 million visitors and registered over 1,576 renovation companies on its platform.
Apart from HKDecoman.com, the company has set up an online store, HKDecoMall.com for the sale of electronic DIY tools and building materials.
