Existing investors <a style="color: #000080;" href="http://greycroft.com/" target="_blank">Greycroft Partners</a> and <a style="color: #000080;" href="http://www.dealstreetasia.com/?s=Fidelity+Growth+Partners" target="_blank">Fidelity Growth Partners India</a> also participated in the round, the company said in a press release.
In April 2015, the company had raised $6 million in a Series A round from Greycroft and Fidelity.
As part of the deal, John Connors, managing partner at Ignition Partners and former CIO and CFO at Microsoft, will join the board of Icertis.
With the new funding, the company has raised a total of $21 million and will use the fresh money for expanding its global operations, marketing and enhance its Icertis Contract Management (ICM) platform.
“In today’s uncertain economic climate, investors are tightening their purse strings and focusing solely on startups with stellar customers, strong revenue, and predictable long-term growth,” said John Connors, managing partner at Ignition Partners.
Seattle-based ICM helps customers to increase compliance, improve governance, mitigate risk and enhance user productivity, thereby maximising ROI and accelerating time to value across the global enterprise.
“Business leaders are rapidly recognising that contract management is a company-wide strategic business process more so than a transactional departmental activity, and they are looking for a holistic platform like ICM to address their needs,” said Samir Bodas, co-founder and CEO of Icertis.
Currently, five lakh professionals across legal, procurement, finance and sales departments are using ICM platform, the company said.
Ignition Partners is an early stage, business software venture capital firm. Last year, the firm had raised a new $200 million fund to pump into new enterprise software startups.
