IFC proposes $3m investment in VC firm Anchorless Bangladesh

World Bank Group member International Finance Corporation (IFC) has proposed an up to $3 million investment into the early-stage fund of Anchorless Bangladesh, one of the first venture capital investors focused on tech firms in Bangladesh.

In a disclosure, IFC said it is considering an investment of $1.5 million in Anchorless Fund through IFC Startup Catalyst and another $1.5 million through the International Development Association Private Sector Window Blended Finance Facility (IDA PSW BFF).
