IFC mulls extending $15m loan to Pakistan’s Engro Polymer

The International Finance Corporation (IFC), a member of the World Bank Group, has proposed extending a loan of up to $15 million to Mitsubishi Corporation-backed Engro Polymer & Chemical Limited, according to its disclosure.

The IFC loan will support the financing needs of Engro’s new hydrogen peroxide plant and a few efficiency projects in Pakistan. The total cost of the said projects is estimated at around $40 million.
