IFC proposes $15m investment in Indian agritech startup WayCool

International Finance Corporation (IFC), a member of the World Bank Group, has proposed a $15-million equity investment in Indian agritech startup WayCool Foods and Products Pvt Ltd, according to a disclosure.

WayCool, headquartered in Chennai, was set up in July 2015 by Jayaraman and Sanjay Dasari. It is currently in the process of raising $120 million of preferred equity to finance the expansion of its business in India.
