Avendus Wealth has named Amrita Farmahan as senior executive director while Xiaomi has appointed Muralikrishnan B as its COO for India.

Avendus Wealth appoints new senior executive director

Avendus Wealth, the wealth management arm of Mumbai-based  Avendus Capital, has named Amrita Farmahan as Senior Executive Director, according to an announcement.

Based in Mumbai, she will be responsible for scaling existing business and strengthening the firn’s wealth and investment management services offered to family offices, corporate and institutions.

Amrita, who has over 20 years of experience in banking and wealth management in India and abroad, has worked with Citibank NA for over 12 years and was the Network Sales Director, Branch Banking and Head, Citi Private Client.

Before Citibank, she worked with HDFC Bank and Tata Finance Ltd in the corporate finance division. She also spent five years at Reliance Private Client before coming to Avendus.

Avendus, backed by private equity firm KKR and Co. LP, is engaged in investment banking, wealth management, structured credit solutions and alternative assets management.

Xiaomi appoints COO in India

Chinese smartphone maker Xiaomi has named Muralikrishnan B, a former country manager of eBay India, as its India chief operating officer (COO).

Muralikrishnan was previously hired by Jabong in 2016 as its chief operating officer. As the COO of Jabong, he was responsible for product management, supply chain and customer experience, among other segments.

He was recently redesignated as the senior vice-president (SVP) of Myntra.

An MBA holder from the Indian Institute of Management, Calcutta, Muralikrishnan has previously worked with e-commerce firm eBay India for almost eight years across multiple positions.
