Home décor and furnishing startup Mygubbi.com has raised $2.7 million in a pre-Series A round, while fintech firm IBSFINtech has received seed funding.
<h3>Online home decor startup Mygubbi raises $2.7m</h3>
Bengaluru-based home décor and furnishing startup <a href="http://dealstreetasia.com/tag/mygubbi" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Mygubbi.com</a> has raised $2.7 million in pre-Series A funding, said <a href="http://epaperbeta.timesofindia.com/index.aspx?eid=31815&amp;dt=20171009" target="_blank" rel="noopener">a report</a> in The Economic Times.
The round was led by the family office of Firoze Irani; Vipul Parekh, cofounder of Big Basket; Ananda Kallugadde, cofounder of NeoBytes; and Rajesh K Murthy, president of Infosys, among others.
According to Umesh Sangurmath, cofounder, MyGubbi, the startup plans to use this funding mainly towards growing the business.
“We would look at going deeper into existing markets, as well as strengthen our backend. We are also setting up a design centre of excellence in Bengaluru, which is where these funds would be deployed,“ Sangurmath told the newspaper.
Founded in 2015, the company had last year raised a seed round of $2.5 million.
<h3>Fintech startup IBSFINtech raises angel funding</h3>
Integrated treasury management fintech startup IBSFINtech has raised seed funding from Shailesh Haribhakti, chairman of tax consultancy firm Haribhakti &amp; Co, according to <a href="http://epaperbeta.timesofindia.com/index.aspx?eid=31818&amp;dt=20171009" target="_blank" rel="noopener">a report </a>in The Economic Times.
The quantum of funds raised was not disclosed.
The startup, founded by <a href="http://dealstreetasia.com/tag/vijaya-bank" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Vijaya Bank</a> veterans Chandra Mohan Grover and TM Manjunath, is also in initial stages of discussions to raise $2-4 million more. It plans to use the funds to scale up operations globally and for product research and development.
It was earlier reported that IBSFINtech, which makes software to manage corporate treasury, was planning to raise $10 million.
The company claims to manage multi-billion treasury market transactions in India for its clients including <a href="http://dealstreetasia.com/tag/times-group" target="_blank" rel="noopener">The Times Group</a>, <a href="http://dealstreetasia.com/tag/future-group" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Future Group</a>, <a href="http://dealstreetasia.com/tag/snapdeal" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Snapdeal</a>, and <a href="http://dealstreetasia.com/tag/maruti-suzuki" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Maruti Suzuki</a>, among others.
