<h3>Agritech startup Gold Farm raises $2m from Mahindra, Infuse Ventures</h3>
Agritech startup Gold Farm has raised a seed fund of $2 million from <a href="http://dealstreetasia.com/tag/mahindra" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Mahindra Group</a> and venture capital fund <a href="http://dealstreetasia.com/tag/infuse-ventures" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Infuse Ventures</a>, according to <a href="http://epaperbeta.timesofindia.com/index.aspx?eid=31815&amp;dt=20171030#" target="_blank" rel="noopener">a report</a> in The Economic Times.
The supply chain-focussed aggregation platform for farm equipment plans to use this latest funding to expand its service across village districts in Karnataka, besides building infrastructure, as well as farmer outreach programmes to expand the availability of farm mechanisation equipment without owning them.
“The primary help we have taken from Mahindra is to increase the offering of special implements to farmers which would not otherwise be available locally, we are also trying to tap into their catalogue because we want to access new farming products and make that available to our existing base of customers,“ Abhilash Thirupathy, co-founder of Gold Farm told the news paper.
<h3>Fashion e-tailer Benoit raises angel funding</h3>
Pune-baed e-fashion startup Benoit has received an undisclosed amount of funding from <a href="http://dealstreetasia.com/tag/cybage" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Cybage</a> cofounder Deepak Nathani in lieu of a 30 per cent stake in the company, said <a href="http://epaperbeta.timesofindia.com/index.aspx?eid=31815&amp;dt=20171030#" target="_blank" rel="noopener">a report</a> in The Economic Times.
“This funding will be utilised for scaling-up faster by adding more designs and expanding the marketing efforts. The brand also stands to benefit with Mr Nathani&#8217;s sustained mentorship which will help the firm grow,“ said Vishal Singh, CEO, Benoit told the news paper.
Earlier this year in May, Nathani picked up 20 per cent stake in a restaurant automation solution provider, <a href="http://dealstreetasia.com/tag/devourin" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Devourin</a> for an undisclosed amount.
<h3>Fintech startup Cashfree raises $120k from Y Combinator</h3>
Payments platform Cashfree has got $120,000 in seed funding from US-based startup accelerator <a href="http://dealstreetasia.com/tag/ycombinator" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Y Combinator</a>, when the startup was selected for its Summer 2017 batch.
The Bengaluru-based firm plans to use the funding for product development, hiring more individuals to sales and engineering platforms, strengthening bank partnerships and marketing engagements.
The payment gateway which automates inbound and outbound bank transfers was founded September 2015 by Akash Sinha and Reeju Datta, and was bootstrapped for 2 years prior to being funded by Y Combinator.
According to a company statement, Cashfree is talking to investors to raise a larger round to scale its merchant acquisition and engineering teams.
