While gaming startup 9stacks has raised over $1.6 million in angel funding in its pre-Series A round, skill development startup ProEdge has received funds from HNIs based in the US and UAE.

Gaming startup 9stacks has raised over Rs 10 Crore ($1.6 million) in its pre-Series A round.
Angel investors in the round include Swati Gupta, Founder, IndustryBuying; Purnima Khandelwal, Founder, INI Farms; Maheshwer Peri, Founder, Careers360; Sanjay Singh, Founder, Swas Healthcare; Anant Daga, MD, TCNS Clothing/ W, and Kartik Sheth, Chief Innovation Officer Airtel and CEO, Wynk.
The round also saw participation from a number of VC and PE investors in their personal capacities.
“9stacks will utilise the funding to accelerate its product and technology development as well as scale to other geographies and other categories within the real money online gaming space,” the company said in a release.
Skill development startup ProEdge raises Series A round
Bengaluru-based skill development startup ProEdge Skill Development and Edutech has raised an undisclosed amount of funding from high-net-worth individual investors based in the US and UAE.
According to media reports, the startup plans to use the Series A funding to beef up its workforce, set up a software platform and increase its affiliated colleges.
ProEdge works on training and talent management in the analytics, BFSI and IT sectors. It claims to be affiliated with around 150 colleges in the country offering skill development and digital learning.
