Parody video content startup Spoofin has raised an undisclosed amount of seed funding from <a href="http://dealstreetasia.com/tag/mumbai-angels" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Mumbai Angels</a>.
Mumbai-based Spoofin is a video-based social network that allows it&#8217;s users to create and share parody videos. The company is planning to launch its platform in the international markets later this year, according to a company statement.
&#8220;As a Deal Lead of Spoofin, I see this as an interesting investment opportunity with exponential returns upon gaining scale in a thriving yet uncluttered market. I would be helping &amp; mentoring the company to grow,&#8221; said Jatin Aneja, Deal Lead, Mumbai Angels Network &amp; Partner at Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas.
<h3>Glassic raises seed funding from Chennai Angels, others</h3>
Eyewear startup Glassic has raised a seed round of an undisclosed amount from <a href="http://dealstreetasia.com/tag/chennai-angels" target="_blank" rel="noopener">The Chennai Angels</a>, <a href="http://dealstreetasia.com/tag/lead-angels" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Lead Angels</a> and <a href="http://dealstreetasia.com/tag/letsventure" target="_blank" rel="noopener">LetsVenture</a>, according to <a href="http://epaper.timesgroup.com/Olive/ODN/TheEconomicTimes/#" target="_blank" rel="noopener">a report</a> in The Economic Times.
As per the report, the Bengaluru-based firm plans to use the funds to create new inventory, add more resources to the team and in brand marketing.
Recently, The Chennai Angels led a $400,000 seed round by SaaS Startup Paperflite.
<h3>WealthTrust raises $500k from India Quotient</h3>
Personal finance management app <a href="http://dealstreetasia.com/tag/weathtrust" target="_blank" rel="noopener">WealthTrust</a> has raised $500,000 from early-stage venture capital firm <a href="http://dealstreetasia.com/tag/india-quotient" target="_blank" rel="noopener">India Quotient</a>.
According to an official statement Evolusolve Technologies Pvt. Ltd, which operates WealthTrust, plans to use the funds to enhance its products and boost growth.
The funding was facilitated by deals platform LetsVenture.
In July 2016, the Mumbai-based startup had raised an undisclosed amount in seed funding from India Quotient.
“As the mutual fund investment market explodes, we see savers and investors wanting more than a mere transaction tool,” Anand Lunia, founding partner of IndiaQuotient, said.
