Fitness discovery platform Gympik has acquired Oyofit, while Qonfuse and The Indian Iris have raised angel funding.
<h3>Fitness discovery platform Gympik acquires Oyofit</h3>
Bangalore based fitness discovery platform <a style="color: #000080;" href="http://dealstreetasia.com/tag/gympik">Gympik Health Solutions Pvt Ltd</a>, which owns and runs Gympik.com, has acquired <a style="color: #000080;" href="http://dealstreetasia.com/tag/oyofit">Oyofit</a>, a fitness aggregator for enterprises and individuals.
While the financial details of the deal were not disclosed, Gympik said the acquisition will help increase its foot print in the corporate wellness category.
“This acquisition is part of our strategy to expand the business of our corporate wellness solutions and become the leaders in this sector. Oyofit has established a strong presence in the corporate fitness category. We bring the strengths of strong network of personal trainers and the capability to deliver wellness solutions that cater to the unique needs of employees,” said Amaresh Ojha, Founder and CEO of Gympik.
Under the terms of the deal, the co-founders and the core members of the Oyofit team will join Gympik and Shivank Agarwal, co-Founder of Oyofit, will be part of the Gympik leadership team.
<h3><a class="title ajaxlink" title="Edtech Startup Qonfuse Raises Seed Funding">Edtech startup Qonfuse raises seed funding</a></h3>
Delhi-based edtech startup <a style="color: #000080;" href="https://www.qonfuse.com">Qonfuse</a> has raised an undisclosed amount in seed funding from Hamraj Kumar, founder of <a style="color: #000080;" href="http://www.cureinstant.com/">CureInstant</a>.
Qonfuse is an online portal, which is designed similar to the actual online exam interface. At present, it offers mock tests for Banking, Railway CAT, GATE, SBI PO, SBI Clerk and Aptitude preparation. They have fixed price Rs 49 for 5 test papers.
The startup plans to use the latest funding round capital for its growth strategy, improve the product and increase its user base.
Qonfuse also plans to soon launch a service which will allow the users to take an online mock test as per their requirement, where they will only be charged for the number of question papers they have bought.
<h3>Indian Iris raises seed funding from Timbru Ventures</h3>
<a style="color: #000080;" href="http://theindianiris.com/">The Indian Iris</a>, a policy research and consulting startup, has raised an angel investment of undisclosed amount from Ahmedabad-based Timbru Ventures.
The startup aims to use the funds to scale its operations, hiring more resources for handing user queries, building and marketing the mobile platform named&#8217;Join R&#8217;, and enhancing its user interface, the company said in a release.
The Indian Iris platform provides all policies and schemes of centre and state governments in an easy to understand language. The team at The Indian Iris navigates through complex policy documents and decodes them for easy understanding of citizens.
The portal claims to have over 30,000 unique visitors at present with 145,000 page views per month.
