Networking app Nodd has raised $147,000 as angel funding, while ed-tech startup VoLT has got funding from YMS Mobitech.
<h3 style="text-align: justify;">Networking app Nodd raises $147k angel investment</h3>
App based networking platform <a style="color: #000080;" href="http://dealstreetasia.com/tag/nodd">Noddapp.com</a> has raised Rs 1 crore ($147,000) from 11 angel investors.
&#8220;The raised funds will be used to scale up operations and expansion across major metros like New Delhi, Bangalore, Mumbai, Hyderabad, and Chennai. Part of the investment will also be directed towards building a strong team and technology,&#8221; the company said in a release
Founded earlier this year Nodd is a networking platform that helps individuals to discover and meet like-minded people through innovative curated experiences, using data analytics, experiences, and algorithms.
“The segment that Nodd caters to is an untapped space hence we don’t have any direct competition and that was one of the reasons why we have drawn 11 investors to participate in an angel round of funding. The funds will be used to increase our team size and invest in technology as well as expanding our geographical presence,” said Shubham Rai, Founder, and CEO, Nodd.
<h3 style="text-align: justify;">YMS Mobitech backs ed-tech startup VoLT</h3>
<a style="color: #000080;" href="http://dealstreetasia.com/tag/volt" target="_blank">VoLT</a> (Vocabulary Learning Technique), operated by <a style="color: #000080;" href="http://dealstreetasia.com/tag/edutainment-spearheads" target="_blank">Edutainment Spearheads</a>, has raised an undisclosed amount of seed funding from <a style="color: #000080;" href="http://dealstreetasia.com/tag/yms-mobitech" target="_blank">YMS Mobitech</a>, a tech-based distribution company.
Mumbi-based VoLT simplifies vocabulary learning process using creative teaching methodologies. The company claims that since it&#8217;s launch  the VoLT android application has seen over 300,000 downloads, registering monthly growth of close to 125 per cent.
Abhishek Jain, Founder, VoLT, said “With VoLT App, we are targeting a wide range of audience using an innovative, neural-linking process that has a user-friendly interface and is highly addictive. With our Offline Products like Books, Games etc slated to be launched by December-end , we target to become the most powerful and widely-consumed vocabulary learning resource in India.&#8221;
