Essel Group ME has acquired Spanish production company boo.lab. Also, Ebix has agreed to acquired YouFirst Money Express Pvt Ltd.
<h3 style="text-align: justify;">Essel Group to buy Spanish firm boo.lab</h3>
Essel Group ME, through its subsidiary Essel Media Hub, has acquired Spanish firm boo.lab, according to a statement.
Established in 2001 and based in Barcelona, boo.lab specialises in audiovisual and experiential media. It has created media campaigns for some of the world&#8217;s leading brands including Coca-Cola, Mercedes Benz, Ford, Heinekin, Lexus, Samsung, Adidas, McDonald&#8217;s, IKEA, Peugeot, Playstation and others.
“boo.lab&#8217;s technical expertise perfectly complements Essel Serena&#8217;s existing offering. This acquisition cements Essel Media Hub&#8217;s leading position in the Middle East and internationally, and we are looking forward to supporting the company during its expansion,&#8221; Gagan Goel, managing director, Essel Group ME said.
<h3 style="text-align: justify;">Ebix to buy YouFirst Money</h3>
<a href="https://www.dealstreetasia.com/?s=Ebix+Inc" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Ebix Inc</a>, an international supplier of on-demand software and e-commerce services to the financial services and healthcare industry, has acquired YouFirst Money Express, a subsidiary of YouFirst Ventures Pvt Ltd.
The deal comes soon after the company <a href="https://www.dealstreetasia.com/stories/80567-80567/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">buying</a> the money transfer service scheme (MTSS) business of Wall Street Finance Ltd, along with its subsidiary Goldman Securities Ltd last week. Ebix had also acquired Essel Group’s fintech arm ItzCash Card Ltd for $120 million about three months ago.
YouFirst Ventures is promoted by former Citibank and RCap executive Vikrant Gugnani. Its subsidiary YouFirst Money offers international inward remittance and foreign exchange services.
“It has a market share of around 15% of Western Union’s India inward remittance flow. The acquisitions of YouFirst and Wall Street Finance’s MTSS inward remittance assets will give Ebix a 25% share of the inward international remittance market in India, strengthening its position in the financial exchange market in the country,” Ebix said in a statement.
