Health-tech startups LiveHealth and Wellthy Therapeutics have raised funding along with agri-tech firm Gramophone.
<h3>Nexus Venture invests $1.1m in LiveHealth</h3>
Health-tech startup LiveHealth has raised $1.1 million seed round from venture capital firm <a href="http://dealstreetasia.com/tag/nexus-venture" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Nexus Venture Partners</a>.
The Pune-based company, which helps digitizing diagnostic lab workflows, plans to use this latest funding to expand its platform across India, explore international markets and to strengthen the product and technology, according to an official statement.
LiveHealth claims to work with over 650 diagnostic centres across India and Africa to digitise and automate their operations and them manage patients, financial transactions, automation between medical instruments, and inventory.
&#8220;Our platform becomes one stop solution for care providers to improve their operations, reduce costs and errors and to enhance collaboration among stakeholders. This also helps us gather huge amounts of data to generate insights and models to improve health care outcomes,&#8221;said Abhimanyu Bhosale, co-founder and chief executive of LiveHealth.
<h3>Digital therapeutics firm Wellthy Therapeutics raises $2.1m</h3>
The Mumbai-based firm Wellthy Therapeutics has raised Rs 13.5 crore ($2.1 million) led by Ranjan Pai’s family office Manipal Education &amp; Medical Group (MEMG) family office LLP, said <a href="https://economictimes.indiatimes.com/small-biz/startups/newsbuzz/pai-family-others-put-rs-13-5-crore-in-wellthy-therapeutics/articleshow/63165295.cms" target="_blank" rel="noopener">a report</a> in The Economic Times.
According to the news report, the round also saw participation from Apoorva Patni-led Currae Healthtech Fund, Singapore-based Beenext Ventures, GrowX Ventures, IIFL Select Equity Fund along with other individual investors.
The digital therapeutics firm plans to use this latest funding to improve the efficacy of its existing diabetes digital therapeutics while developing solutions for other disease areas for which clinical trials are set to begin in the second half of 2018.
Wellthy Therapeutics is looking to build deeper integrations with industry stakeholders in Asia as also expand its team, said the report.
<h3>Gramophone raises $1m funding from Info Edge</h3>
Delhi-based agri-tech startup Gramophone, operated by Agstack Technologies has raised $1 million in pre-Series A funding from <a href="http://dealstreetasia.com/tag/info-edge" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Info Edge (India)</a>.
In filing to the stock exchanges, Info Edge said that the post the investment the company would hold around 25 per cent stake in Gramophone.
Indore-based Gramophone provides farmers with agronomy services and the right inputs during the entire cropping cycle.
The company had earlier raised an undisclosed amount of funding from angel investors such as Ravi Garikipati, Chief Technology Officer, Flipkart; Sanjay Ramkrishnan, Ex. Senior Director and Head Product Marketing, Flipkart; Pradeep Kumar Mishra, Director Engineering, Tribune Digital Ventures; Nitin Agarwal, VP, Wave Crest Group among others.
Gramophone plans to use this latest funding round to expand its reach to more farmers and build innovative tech products customised to solve individual farmer needs.
