<h3>MamaEarth raising fresh capital</h3>
<p>Babaycare startup MamaEarth is raising an undisclosed amount of funding from its existing investor Fireside Ventures, according to a company statement.</p>
<p>Two or three more investors will also take part in the round that will be led by Fireside, MamaEarth co-founder Varun Alagh said, adding that the investor names will be announced by the end of this month.</p>
<p>The startup, which is operated by Honasa Consumer Pvt Ltd, will use the proceeds to launch more product categories for both the mother and the child.</p>
<p>Founded in 2016 by husband-wife duo Varun and Ghazal Alagh, MamaEarth sells products such as certified toxin-free body lotions, rash creams, hair shampoo, body wash, diaper rash cream, massage oil, all-natural bug sprays and sunscreen lotion, which cater to infants as well as children of up to five years.</p>
<h3>EarlySalary gets $780k debt funding from IFMR</h3>
<p>Online lending platform EarlySalary has raised Rs 5 crore ($780,675) in debt funding from IFMR Capital.</p>
<p>The company will use the money for its growth plans, according to a statement.</p>
<p>“Our strategy has always been to identify high potential companies at an early stage and support them by providing capital, structured product solutions and access to a wide spectrum of investors. The association with EarlySalary fits right into that philosophy,&#8221; said IFMR Capital CEO Kshama Fernandes.</p>
<p>EarlySalary offers small short-term loans to salaried individuals on a mobile app. It operates in  eight cities &#8212; Mumbai, Pune, Chennai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, New Delhi, Jaipur and Ahmedabad.</p>
<p>In May this year, the firm had raised $4 million its its Series A funding from IDG Ventures India and Dewan Housing Finance Corp (DHFL). It had also secured $1.5 million (Rs 9.9 crore) in seed capital from Transcorp Group’s Ashok Agarwal in November 2015.</p>
