<a href="https://www.dealstreetasia.com/?s=Paytm" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Paytm</a>, operated by One97 Communications Pvt Ltd, is in talks to acquire online travel firm Via.com.
Via.com could potentially be valued at up to $80 million for the sale, The Economic Times <a href="http://economictimes.indiatimes.com/small-biz/startups/paytm-in-talks-to-acquire-travel-company-via-com/articleshow/60740714.cms" target="_blank" rel="noopener">reported</a> citing people familiar with the development.
Paytm was recently in talks to buy deal discovery app Little and online deals startup Nearbuy.
Founded in 2007 by Vinay Gupta and Amit Aggarwal Gupta, Via.com operates as a travel deals aggregator and ticket booking site. The company was launched in 2006 as flightraja.com.
<h3 style="text-align: justify;">SaaS startup Typset gets $850k funding</h3>
Typset, a consumer SaaS platform, has received $850k in a pre-Series A funding from True North&#8217;s partner Haresh Chawla.
The company will use the money for expanding the platform features across the research communication workflow, according to an Inc42 <a href="https://inc42.com/buzz/typeset-consumer-saas-researchers-funding/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">article</a>.
“It’s been fantastic working with the Typeset team for over two years now. They are attacking a tough problem in a massive market and have the potential to become one of the successful global B2C companies from India,&#8221; said Chawla.
Bangalore-based Typset provides a single platform for authors to collect, write, build and submit their academic papers.
<h3 style="text-align: justify;">iCubesWire launches $3m Digital Innovation Fund</h3>
Digital marketing solutions provider iCubesWire has launched a $3 million fund to support early stage startups, according to a statement.
The fund will help technology startups in artificial intelligence (AI) space.
