PVR has picked up stake in US-based threatre company iPic, while bio-analytical testing firm Eurofins has acquired Noida-based Spectro Analytical.
<h3>PVR picks up stake in US-based iPic</h3>
The country&#8217;s largest cinema operator <a href="http://dealstreetasia.com/tag/pvr" target="_blank" rel="noopener">PVR Ltd</a>, has acquire stake in US-based luxury restaurant and theatre company iPic Gold Class Entertainment LLC (iPic).
While the financial details of the deal were not disclosed, according to media reports PVR has picked up 2 per cent stake in $4 million.
The investment will give PVR exposure in the cinema exhibition market of the US. iPic owns and operates 16 luxury theatres and 121 screens across 10 states in the United States.
iPic has also agreed to appoint PVR Chairman and Managing Director Ajay Bijli to its board of directors after its planned initial public offering that it had announced earlier.
<h3>Eurofins acquires Noida-based Spectro Analytical</h3>
<a href="http://dealstreetasia.com/tag/eurofins" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Eurofins Scientific</a>, a global leader in bio-analytical testing, has acquired Spectro Analytical Labs Ltd, a Noida-based analytical product testing and inspection company.
The acquisition of Spectro will enable Eurofins to have an analytical testing market entry in India and significantly increase Eurofins’ market position in this geographical region, the company said in a statement.
&#8220;This transaction is another demonstration of Eurofins’ commitment to expand its global network of analytical services laboratories across all geographical regions where it anticipates significant growth,&#8221; said Gilles Martin, CEO of Eurofins.
Spectro was founded in 1998. The company provides bioanalytical testing and inspection-related services.
