<h3>Zee Media in talks to acquire news channel BTVi</h3>
<a style="color: #000080;" href="http://dealstreetasia.com/tag/zee-media" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">Zee Media Corporation</a> is in advanced discussions to acquire Anil Ambani-owned Business Broadcast News, that operates English business news channel BTVi, said <a style="color: #000080;" href="http://economictimes.indiatimes.com/industry/media/entertainment/media/zee-media-corporation-in-advanced-talks-to-buy-btvi/articleshow/59690855.cms" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">a report</a> in The Economic Times quoting sources.
Zee Media operates the TV news channels of Subhash Chandra&#8217;s Essel Group and its newspaper, DNA.
According to one of the sources cited in the report, Zee Media is likley pay between Rs 80 crore and Rs 100 crore for the company.
&#8220;ZMCL (Zee Media) is interested in buying BTVi as it will add an English business channel to its portfolio and complement Zee Business (a Hindi channel),&#8221; said a source.
The proposed deal is likely to be taken up for approval before Zee Media&#8217;s board at its meeting scheduled for next week.
<h3>Global Insurance Services buys out Aon&#8217;s stake in JV</h3>
India&#8217;s <a style="color: #000080;" href="http://dealstreetasia.com/tag/global-insurance" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">Global Insurance Services</a> has bought out Aon&#8217;s entire 26 per cent share in their joint venture <a style="color: #000080;" href="http://dealstreetasia.com/tag/aon-global" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">Aon Global </a>Insurance Brokers, for an undisclosed amount, according to <a style="color: #000080;" href="http://epaperbeta.timesofindia.com/index.aspx?eid=31815&amp;dt=20170721" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">a report</a> in The Economic Times.

With the exit of Aon complete, the brand name of the entity has been changed to Global Insurance Brokers.
When the joint venture was launched in 2001, Aon had invested investing Rs 62 lakh for 26 per cent stake.
