<h3>Policy Bazaar eyes $1.5b valuation for IPO, in talks with investment banks</h3>
EtechAces Marketing and Consulting, which operates online insurance aggregator <a href="http://dealstreetasia.com/tag/policybazaar" target="_blank" rel="noopener">PolicyBazaar</a> and PaisaBazaar, has stepped up work for its planned IPO, which could value the company at $1.5 billion.
According to a Times of India <a href="https://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/companies/policybazaar-in-talks-with-bankers-for-a-1-5-billion-ipo-valuation/articleshow/61971383.cms" target="_blank" rel="noopener">report</a> quoting sources, the company has met over a dozen investment banks for the public issue.
&#8220;The company met around 15 investment banks, each of which was given a short time to pitch. There is a lot of interest in the IPO which should happen by next year,&#8221; said one of the sources cited in the report.
The company is backed by Wellington Management, Temasek, Tiger Global and PremjiInvest, among others, the company was valued at $500 million when it raised capital recently.
<h3>Bharat Serum plans $310m IPO next year</h3>
Mumbai-based<a href="http://dealstreetasia.com/tag/bharat-serum" target="_blank" rel="noopener"> Bharat Serum and Vaccines Ltd</a> is planning to raise around Rs 2,000 crore ($310 million) through an initial public offering of shares, said <a href="https://economictimes.indiatimes.com/markets/ipos/fpos/bharat-serum-plans-ipo-to-raise-rs-2000-crore/articleshow/61972199.cms" target="_blank" rel="noopener">a report</a> in The Economic Times quoting sources.
According to the sources quoted in the report, Bharat Serum is looking to divest around 30 per cent stake through the IPO.
At the planned rate, the company is likely to be valued at over $1 billion.
Kotak Private Equity Group owns around one-fourth of the company while OrbiMed Advisors holds 10 per cent stake.
Kotak could offload a major part of its holding through the IPO, which is likely to hit the market in first quarter of 2018-19.
