<h3>Global PE firms eye stake in Edelweiss Global Wealth and Asset Management</h3>
<p>Blackstone, TPG, KKR, Carlyle and Apax Partners are said to be in talks to acquire a significant minority stake in <strong><a href="http://dealstreetasia.com/tag/Edelweiss">Edelweiss Global Wealth and Asset Management.</a></strong></p>
<p>According to a source-based <strong><a href="https://epaper.timesgroup.com/Olive/ODN/TheEconomicTimes/#" target="_blank" rel="noopener">report</a></strong> in The Economic Times, the business is being valued at Rs 12,000-15,000 crore. The proposed deal, which is expected to be finalised by January, is likely be through primary capital infusion or a secondary stake sale or a combination of both.</p>
<p>Edelweiss Global Wealth and Asset Management comprises wealth and asset management, asset reconstruction and credit funds.</p>
<h3>Inditrade plans JV with Robocash for small loans</h3>
<p>To foray into the quick-loan segment, brokerage firm Inditrade Capital Ltd is in talks to set up a joint venture with <a class="" href="http://dealstreetasia.com/tag/robocash"><strong>Robocash</strong></a><strong>,</strong> a payday loan provider, according to <strong><a href="https://economictimes.indiatimes.com/small-biz/startups/newsbuzz/inditrade-to-script-jv-with-robocash-for-payday-loans/articleshow/66923668.cms" target="_blank" rel="noopener">a report</a></strong> in The Economic Times, quoting sources.</p>
<p>Payday loans are short term unsecured loans in small ticket size. Through the venture Inditrade-Robocash, the companies will offer loans ranging from Rs 10,000 to Rs 50,000 to small borrowers. The JV is likely to be carved out of an existing Inditrade company, wherein Robocash will initially hold 24.9 per cent, and subsequently with the requisite approvals, increase its share to 49 per cent.</p>
<h3>Bharti Airtel may partner Vodafone Idea for fibre network</h3>
<p>Bharti Airtel may look at partnering with rival <strong><a href="http://dealstreetasia.com/tag/vodafone">Vodafone</a></strong> Idea to jointly own their fibre networks on the lines of the tower joint venture Indus Towers, as per <strong><a href="https://economictimes.indiatimes.com/industry/telecom/telecom-news/airtel-looks-at-jv-with-vodafone-idea-for-fibre/articleshow/66929912.cms" target="_blank" rel="noopener">a report</a></strong> in The Economic Times.</p>
<p>According to senior Airtel executives quoted in the report, the joint venture could be monetised later to raise funds. Both Vodafone Idea and Airtel are scouting for funds to sustain operations after facing intense competition from Reliance Jio, which has dented their earnings and revenue over the last couple of years.</p>
