<h3>Amazon in talks to acquire stake in Future Coupons</h3>
Global e-commerce giant, <a href="http://dealstreetasia.com/tag/amazon" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Amazon </a>is in talks to buy a stake in <a href="http://dealstreetasia.com/tag/future-group" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Future Group</a>-owned Future Coupons, according to a report in The Economic Times quoting sources.
The deal, which is said to be targeted at ensuring that Amazon is in compliance with the new e-commerce norms in India, could be announced next month.
According to the recently amended foreign ownership rules, e-commerce companies are barred from holding shares in entities selling on their platforms.
Amazon was earlier in talks to buy stake in Future Retail, which runs more than 1,200 stores across food, grocery and general merchandise.
PE funds in talks to invest in Faasos
Rebel Foods, which runs cloud kitchen platform <a href="http://dealstreetasia.com/tag/faasos" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Faasos</a>, is said to be in talks with domestic and global investors including large private equity funds to raise around $75-100 million in its latest funding round.
According to a source-based <a href="https://tech.economictimes.indiatimes.com/news/startups/pe-majors-crossover-funds-line-up-for-a-slice-of-faasos-in-100m-funding-round/68174704" target="_blank" rel="noopener">report</a> in The Economic Times, marquee investors such as Multiples Alternative Asset Management, Temasek, Goldman Sachs, Falcon Edge and Canadian Pension Plan Investment Board are among those in discussions for the investment, which could value the startup at around $400 million.
“The valuation expectation is high, it is almost a 10X multiple to sales that the company is asking for,&#8221; said one of the sources.
Existing investors Sequoia Capital and Lightbox Venture are also expected to put in around $20 million in the on-going funding round.
