<h3 style="text-align: justify;">Reliance Jio to raise $3b via right issues</h3>
<a style="color: #000080;" href="https://www.dealstreetasia.com/?s=Reliance+Jio+Infocomm" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">Reliance Jio Infocomm</a> (Jio) is planning to raise Rs 20,000 crore ($3 billion) through a rights issue of optionally convertible preference shares (OCPS), according to a stock market disclosure.
The board has decided to make a rights issue of four billion &#8211; nine per cent non-cumulative optionally convertible preference shares (OCPS) of Rs 10 each for cash, at a premium of Rs 40 per OCPS, aggregating Rs 20,000 crore.
After this fundraise, Reliance Jio will take the total money to around Rs 90,000 crore in the past two years through this route.
<h3 style="text-align: justify;">HDFC to raise $544m via NCDs</h3>
Mortgage lender <a style="color: #000080;" href="https://www.dealstreetasia.com/?s=HDFC+Ltd" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">HDFC Ltd</a> will raise Rs 3,500 crore ($544 million) by issuing non-convertible debentures (NCDs), the company said in a stock market disclosure.
The mortgage lender will use the funding for financing or re-financing the housing finance business requirement of the company, it said.
The issue will open on Monday and close on the same day. They are carrying coupon rate of 7.17 per cent and will be matured in July 2019.
