Indian IT major <a href="http://dealstreetasia.com/tag/hcl-tech" target="_blank" rel="noopener">HCL Technologies Ltd</a> is acquiring US-based Strong-Bridge Envision, operated by Strong-Bridge Holdings Inc, for $45 million.
According to a filing to the stock exchanges, HCL Tech will pay an upfront amount of $42 million while the remaining is linked to achievement of certain targets.
The acquisition will help HCL to enhance its digital transformation consulting capabilities. Post the deal, Strong-Bridge Envision will become part of HCL’s global digital and analytics business HCL Mode 2 services.

Seattle-headquartered Strong-Bridge Envision is a digital consulting firm specialising in customer experience strategy, business transformation, and change management with 200 employees. For 2018 it reported revenues of $45.6 million.

In 2017, Strong-Bridge Consulting merged with Envision to extend its consultancy and digital transformation capabilities and further establish its footprint across North America.

HCL Technologies has been on an acquisition spree to propel its growth. In June last year, it signed a definitive agreement to acquire 100 per cent stake in Wolfsburg-based IT and engineering services provider H&amp;D International Group for about $35 million, as part of its long-term growth plan in Germany.
In April 2018, the company along with tech-focused private equity firm Sumeru Equity Partners had entered into an agreement to acquire Actian Corporation, in a $330-million all-cash deal. The same month, it also announced acquisition of C3i Solutions, a multi-channel customer engagement services for the life sciences and consumer packaged goods (CPG) industries, from Merck &amp; Co, Inc for $60 million.
Prior to that In September 2017, the Noida-based technology firm had acquired Edinburgh-based data management firm Datawave for up to £7 million ($9.1 million) in cash. Its largest buyout so far was that of SAP consulting firm Axon in 2008 for 440 million pounds (then Rs 3,100 crore).
HCL operates out of 44 countries and has consolidated revenues of $8.4 billion, for the year ended 31 December, 2018.
