Prolonged lockdowns and an uncertain economic outlook are taking a toll on the road sector with several foreign funds aborting planned acquisitions, impacting the working capital plans of domestic road developers. This is despite a recovery in commercial traffic to pre-covid-19 levels on India’s highways post the lifting of the lockdown.
