Algorithmic trading platform Kuants, brokerage firm RealPro, online marketplace for contract workers Workflexi, and mobile payments solutions startup ToneTag have raised funding.
Algorithmic trading platform Kuants raises $78.6k angel investment
Kuants, an algorithmic trading platform, has raised Rs 5,000,000 ($78,600) from Delhi-based angel investors Pankaj Chopra and Ankush Gupta.
Founded in October last year, Gurgaon-based MeanBox Technologies Pvt. Ltd, which runs Kuants, plus to use this latest funding to ” build up the GUI based online stock market simulator, and acquiring high-end servers required for multi-core processing,” according to an official statement.
“We believe a lot more processes can be solved and made much easier in the domain of algorithmic trading in the Indian markets using technology. With the aim of increasing the penetration of algorithmic trading in India at a nail-biting pace, we are developing complex systems and strategies so that the user doesn’t need to waste his time figuring out a way to develop his trading system,” said Ayush Gangwar, Co-founder, Kuants.
RealPro realty raises $3.4m from HT Media
According to a stock exchange filing, the board of HT Media approved the subscription of 887,145 share warrants of Realpro Realty Solutions at Rs 247 apiece. Under the terms of the agreement, 10 per cent of the subscription amount will be paid upfront, while the remaining can be paid any time after 12 months from the date of subscription to the warrants.
HT Media will own a 10.85 per cent stake in Realpro Realty Solutions following the conversion of warrants into equity shares.
The news comes in shortly after the Indian arm of luxury real estate advisory services provider Sotheby’s International Realty announced that it had raised $2 million from an undisclosed ultra-high-net-worth individual earlier this month.
Workflexi.in raises $157k seed funding
Workflexi.in, an online marketplace for contract workers, has raised Rs 1 crore ($157,300) in a seed round led by Kamalraj Chandrasekaran, founder and executive director of Kamalraj Hospitality Concepts India Pvt Ltd.
The round also saw participation from Parashiva J Ravikumar, director of Bangalore-based network management consultancy firm Orva Networks Pvt Ltd, who invested in his personal capacity, according to a company statement
Bengaluru-based Workflexi.in will use the funds for product development, team expansion, and to execute marketing activities.
Founded in 2016 by Prabhu and Sandesh Kangod, the Bangalore-based firm connects qualified professionals looking for contract or consulting jobs with potential employers.
ToneTag gets $1.3m funding from Tropical Star
According to the news report, the Bengaluru-based fintech startup operated by Naffa Innovations Pvt. Ltd had raised the round in September 2017.
In November 2016, ToneTag had raised an undisclosed amount of funding from a clutch of angel investors including Nasscom foundation trustee Arun Seth, Manipal Global Education chairman T.V. Mohandas Pai, Snapdeal’s ex-chief product officer Anand Chandrasekaran and Gencoval Strategic Services chairman Deepak Ghaisas.
Prior to this, it had raised of $1 million from Reliance Venture Asset Management in August 2015.
