India: SoftBank Vision Fund invests around $2.5b in Flipkart in record tech investment

Close on the heels of the collapse of a multi-million dollar deal with rival Snapdeal, leading Indian e-commerce player Flipkart announced that SoftBank‘s $100-billion fund tech-focused Vision Fund has become one of its largest shareholders after making what it said was the biggest ever private investment in an Indian tech company.
