TA Associates has part-exited its investment in Dr Lal PathLabs. Also, Narvar has acquired Bangalore-based GoPigeon.
<h3 style="text-align: justify;">TA Associates part-exits Dr Lal PathLabs</h3>
US-based private equity investor <a href="https://www.dealstreetasia.com/?s=TA+Associates+Management+Lp" target="_blank" rel="noopener">TA Associates Management Lp</a> has part-exited its investment in diagnostic chain <a href="https://www.dealstreetasia.com/?s=Dr+Lal+PathLabs+Ltd" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Dr Lal PathLabs Ltd</a>.
The PE firm sold a stake for Rs 58.5 crore, making a return of five times on its original investment. This was the fourth part-exit by TA Associates in the company and its remaining shares are now worth Rs 165 crore.
TA Associates had originally invested Rs 163 crore in the company for a 16 per cent stake in 2015. After that in 2013, it had invested another Rs 49 crore.
Last December, the PE firm invested $25.5 million in another healthcare firm, Shilpa Medicare Ltd.
<h3 style="text-align: justify;">Narvar buys Bangalore-based GoPigeon</h3>
Post-online purchase solution provider Narvar has bought Bangalore-based GoPigeon, an end-to-end logistics management platform, to further its global expansion, according to a statement. The deal amount was not disclosed.
This acquisition advances US-based Narvar&#8217;s platform development with additional engineering talent and furthers the company&#8217;s position as the market leader, the company said.
&#8220;Having grown our business in North America, we are now well-positioned to scale our platform to international markets. Bringing on GoPigeon allows us to realize this vision more quickly and respond to the growing demand from current clients and prospects to bring great post-purchase experiences to their customers worldwide,&#8221; said Amit Sharma, Founder &amp; CEO of Narvar.
GoPigeon claims to offer one-stop solutions for all shipping needs. The company says its customised tech product provides the easiest way to ship package anywhere across the world.
