Indian edtech unicorn upGrad seeks more funding to scale up new businesses

Ronnie Screwvala-founded edtech startup upGrad said it needs investments to scale up some of its new businesses, as India’s largest online higher education platform continues to build its arsenal of companies through acquisitions.

In an interview with DealStreetAsia, upGrad co-founder Mayank Kumar said, “Certain newer businesses that we have launched and acquisitions we have made, such as study abroad, international business and job assured platform, need investments to scale up.”
