Edtech startup ConveGenius has raised $900,000 from Michael and Susan Dell Foundation, while UberDreams has received $500k from Mascot group.

ConveGenius raises $900k from Michael and Susan Dell Foundation

Education technology firm startup, ConveGenius has raised $900,000 from Michael and Susan Dell Foundation, the company said in a statement.

Founded in 2013 by Jairaj Bhattacharya and Shashank Pandey, alumni of IIIT Hyderabad and the Young India Fellowship Program of Ashoka University, ConveGenius is an ed-tech company aimed at making learning affordable, fun and rewarding. The firm’s products are focused on mobile-based learning via technologies of gamification, adaptive analytics and intelligent content aggregation.

“Unlike most education tech companies that are spending all their time and resources on creating more content, ConveGenius has taken a bold approach: to be a platform leveraging already available content in order to focus its energies on effective delivery and impact,” said Prachi Windlass, Director for Michael & Susan Dell Foundation’s India Education portfolio.

In November 2015, ConveGenius raised about $300K (INR 2 Cr.) in pre-series A round of funding via Enablers.

UberDreams raises $500k from Mascot group

UberDreams, an online platform for fulfilling users’ dreams thonline auctions, has raised $500,000 funding from the Mascot Group.

The Mumbai-based startup plans to utilise the investments the investments to expand its list of offerings and ensuring awareness and conversions through Digital Marketing Platforms, the company said in a statement.

Founded in May 2016, Uber Dreams, owned by Dreamatic Innovations Pvt. Ltd is an experiences curator and auctions technology platform that has various dreams listed on the website, which can be redeemed by a registered user at a nominal fixed cost . The company is funded by serial entrepreneur and Co-Founder, Mohit Lalvani of the Mascot Group along with Savan Daru who is also the Co-Founder and the CEO. AntFarm and Scootsy founder, Rishi Khiani joins the team as an adviser, said the statement.

UberDreams, owned by Mumbai-based Dreamatic Innovations Pvt. Ltd., was founded in May 2016 by Savan Daru. AntFarm and Scootsy founder, Rishi Khiani will also join the team as an adviser.
